Senior Application Engineer Photoshop
Overview
Lead the creation of cutting-edge GenAI experiences for Photoshop at ADUS-Adobe Inc. You will architect and ship scalable AI/ML solutions while maintaining and evolving a massive codebase. This role drives cross-platform innovation and sets technical direction for large-scale applications.
What You'll Do11
- 1Gain in-depth knowledge of the Photoshop codebase including Document model and architecture to integrate innovative technologies into flagship product
- 2Deliver polished end-to-end AI/GenAI experiences as a Photoshop C++ developer
- 3Collaborate with researchers ML engineers application developers UI designers product managers quality engineers and customers to build cross-platform backend solutions and desktop user experiences
- 4Prototype mature research ideas with AI models in Photoshop and iterate toward productization
- 5Communicate complex technical ideas effectively and provide long-term vision for product technical direction
- 6Maintain evolve and improve existing features in a large complex codebase
- 7Participate in formal and informal code and design reviews
- 8Write robust scalable performant and secure code and serve as customer advocate and quality champion
- 9Take initiative tackle new challenges and acquire necessary knowledge and skills
- 10Apply deep understanding of digital imaging computer vision algorithms machine learning and artificial intelligence applications
- 11Enhance code review quality and automate repetitive engineering tasks through AI coding assistants and agentic workflows
Requirements11
- 1BS or MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
- 27+ years of software development experience with proven track record of designing implementing and delivering large-scale high quality production software
- 3Proficiency in modern C/C++ with extensive large-scale application development experience required
- 4Working knowledge of Python and JavaScript preferred
- 5Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals MVC architecture design patterns memory systems CPU/GPU optimizations and software engineering standard processes
- 6Proven experience bringing AI coding assistants and agentic workflows into production code delivery processes
- 7Deep understanding of digital imaging and computer vision algorithms machine learning and artificial intelligence applications
- 8Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- 9Passion for creating high quality applications that professionals love
