Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Systems & LLM
Overview
You will design and build the agent ecosystems and orchestration systems that move Generative AI research into production across Adobe's flagship creative products, impacting millions of creators using Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator. Partner with Adobe Research and platform teams to define the standards and infrastructure for agent-generated code. This hands-on senior IC role defines a new engineering discipline: building systems that build software. You will own the evaluation frameworks and production pipelines that ensure agent quality, reliability, and safety at scale.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and build an ecosystem of agents to build, optimize, evaluate, and deploy research model specifications into production-ready services using Python and PyTorch.
- 2Build and maintain evaluation frameworks and infrastructure to continuously measure and improve agent quality, reliability, and safety, including RAG and agent memory systems.
- 3Integrate agent functionality with platform infrastructure, including Kubernetes, service discovery, and secrets management.
- 4Identify and resolve platform and workflow bottlenecks limiting the speed of AI-driven development and deployment.
- 5Collaborate with Research, Product, and Engineering partners to define API schemas, testing, and security standards for generated code.
- 6Ensure services meet production standards for observability, monitoring, logging, and incident response, participating in on-call support.
Requirements8
- 15+ years building and operating production software systems, including hands-on experience with LLM-driven agents or agentic pipelines.
- 2Strong understanding of agent architectures: reasoning, retrieval, tool use, and multimodal capabilities.
- 3Familiarity with AI agent ecosystems and standards, such as MCP servers, APIs, and semantic retrieval.
- 4Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI system quality, reliability, and safety.
- 5Experience with RAG and agent memory or session-persistence systems.
- 6Strong distributed systems background: service discovery, secrets management, multi-tenant infrastructure on Kubernetes.
- 7Working familiarity with modern generative and computer vision architectures (Transformers, Diffusion models, GANs, CLIP, VAEs, MLLMs).
- 8Proficiency with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
