Senior AI Engineer, Multi-Agent Systems (Contract)
Overview
You will design end-to-end Agentic AI architectures integrating agent lifecycle frameworks, data infrastructure, orchestration, and enterprise platforms. You will develop and refine AI agents that operate at enterprise scale, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship production-ready systems. This contract role in Blaine, MN (hybrid) gives you ownership of the agentic layer, from LLM orchestration to RAG pipelines and Kubernetes deployment. You will shape the technical direction and mentor data engineers, making this role distinct for its focus on multi-agent systems in a Fortune 500 environment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design Agentic AI architectures that orchestrate multiple LLM agents within Kubernetes clusters, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- 2Build agent lifecycle management frameworks from creation to retirement, integrating LangGraph and LangSmith for observability.
- 3Integrate enterprise data sources into RAG pipelines using Pinecone and LlamaIndex, optimizing for retrieval accuracy.
- 4Lead the development of agent planning and tool-use capabilities with Python and FastAPI, enabling autonomous decision-making.
- 5Drive the rollout of agent workflows across Azure and AWS, implementing Terraform infrastructure for production.
- 6Collaborate with product teams to define agent KPIs and evaluate performance using MLflow and Weights & Biases.
- 7Mentor data engineers on LLM integration patterns and safety guardrails, fostering a culture of AI best practices.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in AI engineering with a focus on LLM applications and agent-based systems.
- 2Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3Proven experience with LangGraph, LangChain, and Agentic AI frameworks in production.
- 4Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI for building AI services.
- 5Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure deployment.
- 6Familiarity with RAG architectures using Pinecone or Weaviate.
- 7Experience with LangSmith or similar for agent observability and debugging.
