Overview
You will design, build, and operate production AI systems that power the intelligence layer for enterprise portfolio management. You'll join a product team shipping LLM-powered features used by 30,000+ customers, including Amazon, Disney, and PayPal. The stack includes Python, Kotlin, TypeScript, and AWS Bedrock with Claude. You'll own the AI components from signal detection to agent orchestration, working alongside domain engineers and product managers. This role stands out for its focus on evaluation-driven development and production discipline rather than research silos.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build statistical and ML detectors that separate noise from real problems in CDC event streams and external integrations.
- 2Ship an LLM-powered correlation engine that returns root causes, confidence scores, and evidence chains using Python and Claude on AWS Bedrock.
- 3Translate natural-language planning rules into structured parameters for a deterministic Monte Carlo scheduling engine.
- 4Create regression suites, A/B testing, and confidence-calibration pipelines for safe model updates.
- 5Define LLM-ready tool specs for runtime tool use in a hub-and-spoke agent architecture with MCP.
- 6Design and deploy agent orchestration workflows with multi-step reasoning and guardrails using LangChain or LlamaIndex.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on AI/ML in production.
- 2Proven track record shipping LLM-powered features or products that real users rely on.
- 3Hands-on experience orchestrating agents with LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
- 4Deep LLM engineering fundamentals: prompt design, RAG architectures, function-calling, and evaluation-driven development.
- 5Production engineering discipline: tests, CI/CD, observability, and reliability for AI systems.
- 6Experience with event-driven or streaming systems, such as CDC or real-time pipelines.
- 7Comfortable working embedded in a product team with daily collaboration across roles.
- 8Proficiency in Kotlin or TypeScript in addition to Python.
