Senior Accountant, Renewables & IFRS
Overview
You will own general ledger accounting and reporting for Renewables or Flexible generation entities at ENGIE. You will lead monthly and annual closing processes, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and deliver variance analysis and management reporting. You will partner with Performance Control Analysts on budgets and forecasts, and interface with external auditors. You will drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, applying IFRS and tax equity structures to complex transactions. This role offers hybrid work in Houston and direct impact on ENGIE's zero-carbon transition.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own the monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- 2Deliver variance analysis and management reporting for Renewable or Flexible generation entities.
- 3Prepare monthly operating reports and cash management activities for the Renewables group.
- 4Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, coordinating requirements upstream and downstream.
- 5Interface with external auditors, preparing financial schedules and responding to audit requests.
- 6Assist Performance Control Analyst in preparing annual budgets and long-term forecasts.
- 7Execute ad-hoc projects involving complex or advanced accounting concepts.
- 8Complete other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 25+ years of relevant experience in industry or public accounting.
- 3Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- 4Knowledge of tax equity structures.
- 5Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
- 6Willingness to work in a time-sensitive environment, possibly outside usual US business hours.
- 7Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
- 8Must comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
