Security Guard, Access Control & Logistics
Overview
You will safeguard a logistics and distribution site in Portland, OR, managing entry points, verifying credentials, and responding to incidents. As part of Allied Universal's team, you'll work a weekend swing shift (Sat 10AM-10PM, Sun 10AM-6PM) with a pay rate of $18/hour. You'll use badge systems and access control tools to maintain security, and you'll get access to the Claim a Shift platform for flexible scheduling. What You'll Do6
- 1Verify credentials and issue badges at entry points, controlling access for employees and visitors.
- 2Document visitor and delivery activity in logs, maintaining accurate records of entries and exits.
- 3Respond to incidents and access concerns, notifying site contacts and leadership when needed.
- 4Conduct patrols of loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- 5Direct authorized personnel and vehicles, ensuring only approved access at all times.
- 6Provide customer service to clients and drivers, answering questions and addressing security concerns.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 2Comfortable using a computer or tablet for access control duties.
- 3Access control and badge experience preferred.
- 4CPR certification preferred.
- 5Guard card or license preferred.
- 6At least 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- 7Pass a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
