Security Officer Weekend Customer Service Role
Overview
You will own weekend security operations at a manufacturing and industrial site in Springfield, TN, protecting assets and people across a 12-hour day shift. You will conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with a calm, problem-solving approach. You will join Allied Universal's agile team, using their Claim a Shift platform to build a schedule that fits your life. This role stands out for its weekend-only schedule and direct customer interaction with employees and visitors.
What You'll Do8
- 1Patrol manufacturing areas, warehouses, loading docks, and parking lots on foot, checking doors, fences, and lighting to deter unauthorized activity.
- 2Greet employees, visitors, and contractors at access points, verify credentials, and issue badges per site procedures.
- 3Monitor CCTV and alarm systems from the security desk, logging all incidents and shift activities in the Tablet based reporting tool.
- 4Respond to alarms, medical emergencies, and safety hazards, contacting site leadership or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- 5Document all security incidents, shift logs, and visitor records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with site and company standards.
- 6Escort personnel or vehicles as required, especially in loading dock and storage areas, to maintain safety protocols.
- 7Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders during critical situations, providing them with clear situational reports.
- 8Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and suspicious behavior to site management, helping prevent losses and injuries.
Requirements8
- 121+ years old (for armed roles; unarmed roles require 18+ years).
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
- 4Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- 5Comfort using a computer or Tablet for incident reporting and log entry is preferred.
- 6Valid guard card or security license is preferred (state-dependent).
- 7Pass a background check and drug screen as required by law.
- 8Valid driver's license only for driving positions, not this patrol role.
