As an Security Officer on unarmed weekend patrol at a government site in Nashville, you will conduct systematic patrols and provide on-site security responses. What You'll Do8
- 1Patrol assigned government buildings, grounds, and perimeters to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- 2Verify credentials and control access to restricted areas, reporting any access-control issues per site procedures.
- 3Respond to incidents and alarms, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- 4Complete activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and on time.
- 5Provide customer service to visitors and employees, maintaining a welcoming environment through professionalism and clear communication.
- 6Deter security incidents through visible patrol presence and routine checks of access points.
- 7Support emergency response activities by implementing site-specific procedures and coordinating with authorities.
- 8Operate Claim a Shift platform to manage and claim additional shifts for extra income.
Requirements7
- 13+ years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- 218+ years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- 5Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- 6Possess a valid driver's license if driving is required for the position.
- 7Meet all licensing requirements as determined by state and local regulations.
