Security Consultant, Cisco ASA Palo Alto Firewalls & ISE - Dallas Onsite
Overview
Own security engineering for enterprise network protection at scale in Dallas onsite. You will design and implement firewall policies, access control, and VPN authentication across Cisco ASA FXOS, Palo Alto firewalls, and ISE. Collaborate with network and security teams to protect critical assets and ensure policy consistency in dynamic environments. This role offers hands-on config and tuning that directly reduces risk and improves incident response capabilities.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and tune firewall policies across Cisco ASA and Palo Alto platforms to enforce security zones and route-based policies
- 2Design and manage Panorama configurations for centralized firewall management and policy ordering
- 3Implement Cisco ISE for VPN authentication and access control integration with firewall policies
- 4Audit logs analysis and alert tuning to detect and respond to threats within security domains
- 5Collaborate with network engineering to maintain up-to-date address books, application traffic control, and user role mappings
- 6Troubleshoot and optimize VPN, routing, and policy performance to meet security objectives
- 7Document configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures to support governance and audit needs
- 8Participate in security improvements and incident response exercises to validate controls
- 9Monitor and enforce security baseline configurations in alignment with organizational policy
Requirements9
- 1Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA and FXOS firewalls and Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
- 2Experience with Cisco ISE for VPN authentication and access policies
- 3Strong understanding of Security Zones, policy ordering, and log auditing concepts
- 4Ability to configure address sets, negated addresses, route-based policies, and application traffic control
- 5Knowledge of user roles and tables in firewall environments and integration with identity services
- 6Onsite availability in Dallas, TX for contract position
- 7Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- 8Experience documenting network security architectures and changes for audits
- 9Strong communication skills and ability to translate security requirements into actionable configurations
