Sanitation Technician (Food Manufacturing) - 2nd Shift
Overview
You own sanitation for all packaging and kitchen equipment, plus CIP procedures, across a food manufacturing facility. You keep production areas spotless, follow HACCP protocols, and document every task for regulatory compliance. Your team runs 3:00pm-11:00pm, and you work directly with production and quality. This role demands physical stamina and precision, but you get 100% paid dental and vision.
What You'll Do10
- 1Clean packaging equipment, kitchen equipment, and CIP systems to food safety standards within your first 90 days.
- 2Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and production areas using industrial cleaning tools.
- 3Lift and move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs throughout each shift.
- 4Wear PPE (gloves, face shields, aprons, boots) and handle chemical cleaning solutions safely.
- 5Document all sanitation activities in Excel and paper logs to meet regulatory requirements.
- 6Operate forklifts to move materials and waste, maintaining a clean and organized facility.
- 7Support production and quality teams by keeping equipment ready for use.
- 8Troubleshoot sanitation issues and adjust cleaning procedures in real time.
- 9Maintain a safe work environment by following all OSHA and company safety protocols.
- 10Complete trash collection and disposal tasks efficiently.
Requirements8
- 1High School diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ years of industrial manufacturing experience, ideally in food.
- 3Ability to stand, lift, and crouch for long periods.
- 4Experience with CIP systems and chemical handling preferred.
- 5Forklift certification or experience preferred.
- 6Comfortable with overtime and weekend shifts.
- 7Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- 8Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
