Sanitation Operator, Manufacturing & cGMP
Overview
You own daily sanitation for a manufacturing line, ensuring equipment is clean, safe, and ready for production. You work Monday–Friday, 6 AM–2:30 PM, and report to the sanitation supervisor. You join a team that follows strict cGMP and SOP protocols, keeping the facility audit-ready. This role suits someone who works independently, stays detail-focused, and thrives in a hands-on, regulated environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Clean and sanitize production equipment using cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures.
- 2Dismantle and reassemble equipment blocks to access all surfaces, following SOP checklists.
- 3Operate high-pressure washers and foamers to remove residue from floors, walls, and machinery.
- 4Inspect equipment post-cleaning for visible soil, reporting any issues to the shift lead.
- 5Maintain chemical dilution ratios and log usage per cGMP guidelines.
- 6Document sanitation activities in the daily log and flag deviations immediately.
- 7Follow all safety protocols, including wet floor signage and proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- 8Support overtime coverage during peak production or audit preparation.
Requirements9
- 12+ years in sanitation or industrial cleaning, ideally in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- 2Hands-on experience with cleaning chemicals, including acids, caustics, and sanitizers.
- 3Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8+ hours in wet, humid, slippery conditions.
- 4Fluent in English (written and spoken); bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- 5Knowledge of cGMP and SOP requirements in a regulated environment.
- 6Mechanically inclined: comfortable with disassembly and reassembly of line equipment.
- 7Reliable and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
- 8Willingness to work overtime when business needs require.
- 9Must pass a background check and drug screen.
