Sales Associate, Retail & Cash Handling at SVdP Thrift Store
Overview
Own customer engagement and store operations at a busy Phoenix thrift location. You’ll support the Store Manager in daily tasks, uphold SVdP culture, and ensure volunteers feel welcome. This role is part time with Saturdays required and offers hands on experience in cash handling, donation processing, and merchandising. You’ll contribute to a welcoming customer experience and help maintain a clean, organized retail floor.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build customer relationships by assisting shoppers and answering inquiries
- 2Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- 3Accept donations and issue receipts; process merchandise from the processing center
- 4Stock and rotate merchandise on the floor and arrange by department color and size
- 5Create merchandise displays and maintain cleanliness including dusting mopping and restrooms
Requirements5
- 16+ months of prior retail customer service experience
- 2High School Diploma or GED required
- 3Ability to work on Saturdays
- 4Dependable attendance and punctuality
- 5Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
