Overview

You'll own daily preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep at a large-scale distribution site, using CMMS on laptops and tablets to document work. You'll work alongside experienced technicians to build foundational skills in troubleshooting and site operations, with a direct path to the Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship program. No prior technical experience is required, making this a unique entry point into the automation field. You'll contribute to equipment reliability and uptime, ensuring operational safety.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Follow safe work practices while performing preventive maintenance checks on conveyors, sortation systems, and other automated equipment.
  • 2Replace spare parts such as belts, rollers, and sensors following standard operating procedures.
  • 3Use laptops and tablets to manage work orders, update maintenance logs, and document equipment conditions.
  • 4Use basic workshop tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, and multimeters for routine tasks.
  • 5Work alongside experienced RME technicians to develop technical knowledge in electrical systems and mechanical systems.
  • 6Cultivate positive working relationships with client and operations maintenance team members to support site goals.
  • 7Assist in identifying and reporting equipment anomalies to support continuous improvement.
  • 8Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety compliance.

Requirements10

  • 1Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • 2High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • 3Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and order of operations.
  • 4Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • 5Ability to follow instructions and solve problems in routine maintenance situations while maintaining safety compliance.
  • 6Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  • 7Technical education in a related field is preferred.
  • 81+ year of experience in a distribution, warehouse, or industrial environment is preferred.
  • 91+ years of experience with material handling and conveyance systems is preferred.
  • 101+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures is preferred.
