What You'll Do11
- 1Develop deep understanding of partnership and customer contracts to determine revenue recognition treatment and disclosures
- 2Review complex contracts to establish and maintain revenue accounting policies aligned with SOX and U.S. GAAP
- 3Partner with FP&A to track labor hours and update budgeted resource assumptions
- 4Ensure inputs to input‑method revenue recognition are accurate and audit‑ready
- 5Lead order‑to‑cash month‑end and quarter‑end closes including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- 6Assist with gross‑to‑net revenue accounting and review third‑party support during close activities
- 7Prepare revenue‑related disclosures for Form 10‑Q and 10‑K filings
- 8Maintain SOX‑compliant controls for revenue and accounts receivable cycles
- 9Communicate complex accounting guidance clearly to non‑finance partners
- 10Lead change initiatives and manage multi‑phase projects
- 11Demonstrate strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and tight deadlines
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 25+ years of financial accounting experience focusing on revenue recognition ASC 606
- 3In‑depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance for revenue receivables and contract assets
- 4Proven ability to manage complex monthly and quarterly close processes
- 5Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
- 6Experience leading technical accounting roles in life sciences biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- 7Previous exposure to Big 4 accounting firms preferred
- 8Public company compensation in California range $120000–$145000
- 9Valid work authorization for location in California
- 10Ability to travel between Arrowhead sites
