Overview
Own respiratory care delivery across neonates, pediatrics, and adults within a level 1 trauma hospital. Work across Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, and ICU settings with routine hospital floating. Train in general floor before specialization and grow expertise across multiple areas.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage respiratory care plans across departments to support weaning and ventilation adjustments
- 2Apply and monitor mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians to optimize patient outcomes
- 3Assemble, operate, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment and circuitry
- 4Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing and document results accurately
- 5Assess patient response to therapy and modify treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- 6Communicate with interdisciplinary staff to formulate care plans and address problems
- 7May supervise department staff and provide on the job training
- 8Independently provide respiratory care in multiple care settings across Banner Health
- 9Support pediatric and adult cardiac cases and high-risk neonatal care
- 10Coordinate care as patients move between units to maintain continuity of treatment
Requirements7
- 1Associate or technical degree
- 2RRT credential from NBRC
- 3Current state license as required
- 4BLS certification
- 5One year of acute care hospital experience in respiratory therapy
- 6Possession of Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if employed in AZ
- 7Valid driver's license and auto insurance eligibility for Home Care setting
