What You'll Do10

  • 1Directly supervise all staff providing medical support within the residential program
  • 2Ensure effective medical care with accurate documentation
  • 3Maintain the medical well being of Individuals in a safe, clean environment
  • 4Implement and monitor trainings, delegated nursing tasks, and AMAP staffing
  • 5Provide 24 hour telephone triage with 30 minute response time per OPWDD regulations
  • 6Attend clinical, nursing, ISP, and residential staff meetings and other required meetings
  • 7Maintain HIPAA regulations and compliant record-keeping
  • 8Collaborate with Nursing Supervisor/VP of Medical Services and interdisciplinary teams
  • 9Participate in program development and quality improvement initiatives
  • 10Adapt to changing duties and responsibilities as needed by program requirements

Requirements10

  • 1RN with NYS license and BLS
  • 2Preferred BSN and at least 1 year of work experience
  • 3OPWDD experience and knowledge
  • 4Ability to perform autonomous nursing assessments and clinical judgments
  • 5Strong critical thinking to monitor medical records, triage calls, and supervise staff
  • 6In-person work in New York City with ability to travel to Rising Ground sites
  • 7Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • 8Must meet in-home care delivery requirements and safety standards
  • 9Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • 10Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call coverage
