Registered Nurse, Elder Care Homecare
Overview
You will provide RN care to seniors in their homes across NYC, Long Island, and Westchester, with flexible 4/8/10/12-hour shifts or visits. Choose cases that fit your schedule, with potential for full-time and long-term assignments. You join a supportive team available 24/7, with weekly pay, overtime at 1.5x, and holiday pay. What You'll Do9
- 1Deliver in-home RN assessments and care interventions for elderly clients, adapting to changing health conditions.
- 2Administer medications, wound care, and treatments per physician orders, documenting outcomes in EPIC.
- 3Monitor vital signs and client status, escalating concerns to the care team and family members as needed.
- 4Coordinate with LPNs and home health aides to ensure continuity of care across shifts.
- 5Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and safety protocols.
- 6Respond to emergency situations with BLS interventions and initiate IV therapy when required.
- 7Manage chronic conditions like COPD and Diabetes in the home setting, adjusting care plans based on client response.
- 8Document all care in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies.
- 9Build trusting relationships with clients and families, honoring their preferences and cultural backgrounds.
Requirements10
- 1Valid RN license in New York State.
- 26+ months of nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or home care setting.
- 3Paraplegic experience preferred.
- 4Geriatric experience given preference.
- 5Current BLS certification.
- 6Ability to work in a dynamic environment with unpredictable client needs.
- 7Experience with Trach, Vent, WC, and IV preferred.
- 8Physical, Rubella, Rubeola titers, Quantiferon or PPD, and drug test within the last year.
- 9Authorized to work in the United States.
- 10Background check clearance.
