Overview

You will direct medical care for a residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring compliance with state DDD and DHS regulations. You will supervise clinical records, medication management, and staff training across a team of nurses and direct support staff. You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to enforce treatment plans. This role offers the chance to shape care quality in a mission-driven community setting.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Oversee resident clinical records and ensure compliance with DDD and DHS licensing rules.
  • 2Supervise the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, including annual performance reviews.
  • 3Conduct monthly and quarterly audits on resident medical and medication files.
  • 4Partner with Residential Managers to correct errors in medical and medication documentation.
  • 5Coordinate transitional care, including medication management, doctor appointments, and resident care planning.
  • 6Attend medical appointments and schedule procedures as needed.
  • 7Lead IDT and ISP meetings for all residents, driving care plan execution.
  • 8Complete incident reports and quarterly Performance and Quality Improvement reviews.
  • 9Deliver staff training and coaching, promoting ongoing professional development.

Requirements10

  • 1Current RN license in New Jersey.
  • 2BSN with 2+ years in community health, or RN with 3+ years experience.
  • 31+ years working in a DHS funded residential setting under 10:44A preferred.
  • 4Valid New Jersey driver's license.
  • 5Exceptional customer service, communication, management, and leadership skills.
  • 6Pass criminal background check and clear Central Registry check.
  • 7Pass pre-employment and random drug screening per Stephen Komninos Law.
  • 8Clear CARI background check.
  • 9COVID-19 vaccinated or meet DHS/CDC criteria.
  • 10Demonstrate understanding of inclusion and problem-solving with individuals with disabilities.
