Director of Nursing, Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation New York
Overview
RN leadership role overseeing a skilled nursing and rehabilitation unit in Nassau County NY with full regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care. Lead a collaborative, cross functional team to achieve outcomes at scale in a onsite setting. What You'll Do7
- 1Lead the nursing department to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance
- 2Recruit train and retain qualified nursing staff meeting staffing standards
- 3Develop implement and maintain clinical policies and procedures aligned with corporate and DOH guidelines
- 4Oversee staff competencies performance evaluations and ongoing education
- 5Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes
- 6Address grievances uphold resident rights and maintain a safe facility environment
- 7Monitor departmental budget resource utilization and operational efficiency
Requirements5
- 1Active RN license in New York in good standing
- 2RN degree from an accredited nursing program
- 3Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership experience in long term care or skilled nursing facility
- 4Strong knowledge of DOH regulations CMS standards infection control risk management and QA QAQI processes
- 5Excellent organizational communication and problem solving skills
