Regional Director, Human Services — IDD, Behavioral Health & Growth
Overview
Oversee operations across Massachusetts programs delivering services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Lead program directors, drive quality outcomes, and manage budgets to support growth and compliance. Collaborate with external partners and funders to expand services while maintaining person-centered, trauma-informed care. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight across multiple sites.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead and develop Program Directors across the region to execute strategy and operational initiatives
- 2Oversee day-to-day regional operations ensuring high-quality service delivery and program performance
- 3Strengthen partnerships with referral sources, funders, and community partners to support census growth and program expansion
- 4Ensure services are trauma-informed, person-centered, and aligned with best practices while driving quality improvement
- 5Collaborate on recruitment, retention, workforce planning, and leadership development with Human Resources
- 6Monitor financial performance, budgets, revenue cycle, and adherence to fiscal policies
- 7Drive compliance with federal, state, payer, and accreditation requirements through audits and corrective actions
- 8Represent organization with funders, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders
- 9Support new program development, licensing, and responses to RFPs
- 10Foster a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee engagement
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field
- 2Minimum 6 years of experience supporting individuals with IDD, mental health conditions, or related populations
- 3Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing programs or teams in human services
- 4Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- 5Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionwide
- 6Ability to obtain required background clearances
