As the Regional Clinical Director, you own psychotherapy clinical strategy across a multi-state region, partnering with an Operations VP to drive KPI performance and clinical excellence. You lead a team of Clinical Directors and supervise hundreds of clinicians, ensuring high-quality care, compliance, and evidence-based practices. This role directly impacts patient outcomes and scales clinical operations through growth and change. You will champion a culture of accountability and collaboration, mentoring leaders and driving measurable improvements in access, engagement, and retention.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Co-own regional performance targets for access, engagement, retention, productivity, and documentation quality with the Operations VP.
  • 2Lead implementation of enterprise psychotherapy clinical strategy across assigned states, translating priorities into regional execution plans.
  • 3Provide clinical oversight for LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, and PhD clinicians, ensuring adherence to evidence-based models and state regulations.
  • 4Monitor clinical quality metrics and develop action plans to improve KPIs, documentation standards, and client outcomes.
  • 5Serve as the escalation point for critical incidents, board complaints, and quality-of-care investigations, partnering with Clinical Directors on resolutions.
  • 6Support Clinical Directors in onboarding and training new clinicians, promoting caseload ramp and engagement during new employee orientation.
  • 7Mentor and develop high-potential Clinical Directors, strengthening the regional leadership bench through professional development and succession planning.
  • 8Drive change management across the region, guiding teams through growth, new systems, and workflow enhancements.
  • 9Partner with HR and Operations in talent calibration and leadership development initiatives.
  • 10Monitor state regulation changes and collaborate with compliance teams to ensure clinical integrity and risk mitigation.

Requirements10

  • 1Active, unrestricted clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, or PhD) in at least one state within the region, with eligibility for licensure in multiple states.
  • 27+ years of clinical experience in psychotherapy.
  • 33+ years of leadership experience overseeing multi-site or multi-state clinical teams.
  • 4Demonstrated experience managing supervision structures and regulatory compliance.
  • 5Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and clinical best practices.
  • 6Proven ability to improve business processes, methods, and decision-making to achieve measurable improvements.
  • 7Experience leading through growth, change, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • 8Background in scaling clinical operations, including telehealth or hybrid care models.
  • 9Familiarity with value-based care, outcome measurement, or payer partnerships.
  • 10Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity for clinical audiences.
