Overview
The Front Desk Patient Service Representative owns the first contact experience for patients at a healthcare facility in Chula Vista. You will manage check-ins, scheduling, and front-desk operations for a busy practice. You’ll ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate financial transactions while delivering friendly, professional service. This role sits at the front lines of patient care and operations, and you’ll work closely with the medical team to resolve patient needs promptly. What You'll Do10
- 1Greet patients and visitors warmly and maintain professional demeanor during every interaction
- 2Efficiently manage patient check-ins, scheduling, and demographic verification
- 3Collect co-pays and process financial transactions with accuracy
- 4Adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient information confidentiality
- 5Inform patients of appointment delays and address concerns professionally
- 6Schedule and confirm follow-up appointments and manage calendar conflicts
- 7Handle incoming calls and route them appropriately to ensure timely responses
- 8Maintain a clean, organized front office and ensure supplies are stocked
- 9Check insurance eligibility and filter faxes on Wednesdays and Thursdays
- 10Comply with safety guidelines and clinic policies
Requirements8
- 12 years of experience in a receptionist role, preferably in a medical setting
- 2Fluent in English and Spanish
- 3Proficient in phone etiquette and managing multiple lines
- 4Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 5Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to multitask in busy environments
- 6Record of consistent attendance at previous employment
- 7Experience with a medical office environment
- 8Prior experience with EHR system Practice Fusion preferred
