Medical Receptionist, Bilingual Front Desk
Overview
You will own patient scheduling and front desk operations at a surgical center, managing 50+ daily appointments and patient flow. You will work with a clinical team of physicians and nurses, reporting to the office manager. What You'll Do7
- 1Own the appointment scheduling system, booking and confirming patient visits for the surgical center
- 2Handle incoming calls, routing patient inquiries and triaging urgent requests
- 3Maintain patient records by filing documents and computerizing data entry in Excel
- 4Scan patient charts via Magenda and verify document accuracy
- 5Communicate with patients in English and Spanish, providing clear instructions and empathetic support
- 6Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimal wait times
- 7Manage the front desk check-in process, verifying insurance and patient details
Requirements8
- 11+ years experience in a medical office or front desk role
- 2Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for scheduling and record keeping
- 4Experience with Magenda or similar EMR systems
- 5Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills
- 6Attention to detail in managing patient records and schedules
- 7Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- 8Availability to work 11am-7pm, including some weekends if needed
