What You'll Do4
- 1Confirm patient identity schedule appointments create Radiology Module greet and escort patients to examination room interpret histories and prepare patients for procedures
- 2Select exposure factors take exposures process images practice radiation protection perform diagnostic radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation operate bone density equipment enter medication lab and radiology orders document information and respond to emergencies clean areas perform image-management duties within PACS system and NextGen
- 3Directly enter orders into electronic medical record complete patient forms send letters and reminders liaise with physicians provide support to clerical and clinical staff and assist with patient follow-up
- 4Maintain compliance with government and reimburser requirements uphold clinic standards of care provide professional development and meet organizational training expectations
Requirements5
- 1Valid CPR certification valid registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology certification by International Society of Clinical Densitometry for bone density images
- 2Education from accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3Minimum 1-2 years prior experience helpful
- 4Knowledge of patient care radiology procedures organizational policies radiation protection medical terminology mathematical calculations proficiency with desktop computers and Microsoft Office
- 5Excellent communication skills teamwork collaboration with diverse groups and ability to handle confidential information
