Quality Control Inspector, GD&T & Blueprint Reading in Medical Machining
Overview
Own quality control across a machine shop as part of a small team, inspecting raw materials, machined, welded, sewn, assembled parts and finished goods from internal and outside vendors. Collaborate with the engineering manager and produce QC reports and work orders. Proficiency in GD&T, Advanced Inspection & Gauge Measurement, and Blueprint Reading is required. This role offers hands-on inspection within a manufacturing environment and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.
What You'll Do5
- 1Inspect raw materials, machined parts, welded parts, assembled parts, sewn parts, and finished goods for conformance to specifications
- 2Generate QC reports and coordinate with work orders to support production and engineering
- 3Use GD&T, gauge measurement, and blueprint reading to identify dimensions and tolerance issues
- 4Perform inspections on goods from external vendors and report nonconformances
- 5Collaborate with the engineering manager to drive quality improvements and root cause analysis
