What You'll Do10

  • 1Perform in-process inspections to verify product quality during manufacturing.
  • 2Conduct final quality inspections to ensure finished products meet all specifications and requirements.
  • 3Carry out receiving inspections to confirm incoming materials conform to quality standards.
  • 4Review and maintain First Article Inspections (FAIs), control plans, and related inspection documentation.
  • 5Enforce the quality management system and departmental procedures without exception.
  • 6Champion a quality culture across the organization, building an engaged, quality-focused team.
  • 7Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to guide inspections.
  • 8Apply GD&T principles to verify dimensional accuracy in inspection activities.
  • 9Use statistical process methods to support manufacturing process control and quality improvement.
  • 10Operate micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and pin gauges for precise measurement.

Requirements10

  • 13+ years in a quality role within manufacturing or similar environment.
  • 2Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 3Hands-on experience in quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection.
  • 4Proficiency with mechanical inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and pin gauges.
  • 5Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 6Understanding of GD&T principles and their application to inspection.
  • 7Basic knowledge of statistical process methods for process control.
  • 8Experience programming optical metrology systems with Keyence and OGP preferred.
  • 9Ability to use microscopes (10-40x) to identify workmanship defects.
  • 10Strong documentation skills and effective verbal and written communication.
