What You'll Do8
- 1Inspect precision CNC-machined parts against blueprints and travelers using micrometers, calipers, and DCC CMM.
- 2Perform first-article and in-process inspections, documenting results with Keyence systems.
- 3Program CMM equipment to measure complex geometries and generate inspection reports.
- 4Prepare AS9100D First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for aerospace and medical components.
- 5Monitor production quality and communicate issues with CNC operators and management in real time.
- 6Train junior quality technicians on inspection methods and GD&T.
- 7Lead the Quality Department operations when the Quality Manager is absent, ensuring deadlines are met.
- 8Drive root-cause analysis on non-conformances and collaborate with engineering to prevent recurrence.
Requirements9
- 110+ years of Quality Control experience in precision machining with a High School Diploma, or 5+ years with an Associate Degree or Technical Certificate.
- 2Proven ability to read complex blueprints and apply GD&T standards.
- 3Experience inspecting close tolerances down to ±0.0003 inch.
- 4Strong CMM programming and operation skills, with PC-DMIS as a plus.
- 5Hands-on experience with Keyence inspection systems.
- 6Advanced Excel skills for data entry and reporting.
- 7Aerospace or medical machining background is preferred.
- 8AS9100 quality system knowledge and FAI experience.
- 9Leadership or supervisory experience in a quality role.
