Overview

The QA Technician will own quality inspection and monitoring activities in a GMP food production environment at scale. You will verify compliance with food safety policies, document results, and support product release decisions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards and ensure safe, high-quality outputs. This role offers hands-on lab and line testing responsibilities, with an emphasis on accuracy and traceability in a dynamic facility.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and perform Temperature and pH tests and document results to support product release decisions.
  • 2Document and verify Milk Receiving and Butter Fat Testing records for lot traceability.
  • 3Execute Acidity, Brix, and Viscosity testing and organize samples for micro analysis.
  • 4Control and verify Metal Detector and X-ray verifications during packaging and filling operations.
  • 5Collect Retain samples and coordinate Shelf Life and environmental checks to ensure continued compliance.
  • 6Lead Organoleptic evaluations and packaging assessments to confirm product quality.
  • 7Administer Allergen Swabbing and ATP Swabbing for sanitation validation.
  • 8Oversee Calibrations of lab equipment and enforce GMP and food safety policies.
  • 9Collaborate with production teams to flag non-conforming items and drive corrective actions.
  • 10Maintain accurate paperwork and records across all quality inspection activities.

Requirements10

  • 1Experience in a quality assurance or QA technician role in a food or manufacturing environment
  • 2Ability to read and interpret science-based material and high school level math including algebra
  • 3Strong attention to detail and ability to work extended shifts
  • 4Effective communication with associates, leads, supervisors, and management
  • 5Must be willing to work in a hot/cold production environment and handle standing for long periods
  • 6Knowledge of GMP and food safety practices and willingness to enforce them
  • 7Ability to collect samples, document results, and support product release decisions
  • 8Experience with lab equipment and basic testing protocols (e.g., temperature, pH, microbiology sampling)
  • 9Must be able to climb to heights up to 8 ft and work in a dynamic line setting
  • 10Must be eligible to work onsite in Hicksville, NY
