Property Adjuster Trainee, In office Scottsdale AZ & Water Loss Focus
Overview
This role owns inside property adjusting duties from the Scottsdale office with a primary emphasis on water loss claims. You will inspect damages virtually, review coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims for policyholders. You will interact with customers, contractors, and vendors using Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration across voice, email, and text channels. The position blends customer service, investigation, negotiation, and documentation to deliver fast, fair resolutions at scale.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build timely, accurate claim estimates using Xactimate and other settlement platforms
- 2Investigate property damage and interpret policy language to determine coverage
- 3Communicate with customers, contractors, and vendors via phone, email, and video to drive a smooth claims process
- 4Negotiate settlements with customers and third parties while following legal and business standards
- 5Document actions and outcomes in the claims system with clear, organized records
Requirements5
- 11+ years of customer service experience
- 2Proficiency in using Xactimate or similar software for virtual assessments
- 3Ability to assess property damages and determine claim coverage
- 4Excellent negotiation and communication skills for remote interaction
- 5Ability to work independently in a virtual environment and manage time efficiently
