The role partners with vendors and internal teams to deliver equitable resolutions and may travel within the territory for inspections. This is a local field-based, hourly position with potential CAT support and overtime.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build complex property claims resolutions by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
- 2Design investigations of damages using virtual inspection tools and estimating platforms such as Xactimate to prepare accurate claims estimates.
- 3Lead settlements within authority limits and develop recommendations for settlements outside authority alongside management when necessary.
- 4Drive subrogation opportunities and identify coverage concerns by reviewing loss history and policy terms.
- 5Own claim file documentation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness throughout the process.
- 6Ship complex claims through collaboration with SIU referrals and regulatory coordinations as appropriate.
- 7Scale workload management during surges and CAT events including potential on-call, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- 8Debug claims by addressing jurisdictional challenges and construction considerations during resolution.
- 9Provide on-site or remote inspections as needed and support travel to resolve claims within or outside the local territory.
- 10Advance knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools to manage high complexity losses.
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED.
- 22 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience involving dwelling and structural damages.
- 3Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools.
- 4Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts including state regulations.
- 5Proven negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- 6Ability to travel 50-75% of the year and support catastrophe duty when needed.
- 7Active adjuster license or acquisition within 90 days and up to 3 attempts.
