You'll operate a cryogenic Air Separation Unit in San Francisco, owning plant production, efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. You'll control flow purities and pressures through SCADA/HMI/PLC systems, collaborating with management to meet customer needs. What You'll Do10
- 1Monitor and maintain safe operation of the Air Separation Unit, adjusting flows and production rates to meet customer demand.
- 2Control process purities, pressures, and flows using SCADA/HMI/PLC systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- 3Perform quality assurance checks on cryogenic products, maintaining compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.
- 4Record plant readings, maintenance activities, and instrument calibrations to meet safety and production requirements.
- 5Identify potential problems from collected data and determine immediate maintenance actions, executing repairs as needed.
- 6Execute complex plant procedures including DERIME and warm plant start-ups.
- 7Repair and calibrate process equipment: compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and electrical systems.
- 8Troubleshoot and restore efficient operations using PLC, DCS, and computer interface stations.
- 9Drive facility improvements in operations, reliability, and costs with minimal supervision.
- 10Handle administrative duties like requisitioning, purchasing, and production accounting.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of technical college or military experience.
- 22+ years operating an Air Separation Plant or related industrial environment.
- 3Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with process and plant equipment independently.
- 4Skill in using hand tools and test equipment to repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- 5Basic understanding of refrigeration systems is a plus.
- 6Basic understanding of air separation technologies is a plus.
- 7Knowledge of water treatment principles is a plus.
- 8Willingness to work overtime, off shifts, weekends, and holidays, plus share on-call duties.
- 9Ability to work alone with continuous mental and visual attention to equipment and repairs.
Salary Insight
$42 - $52k per year
