Production Technician (Clean Room) San Francisco
Overview
You will own the cleaning, processing, and inspection of precision customer components in a clean room environment. Operating chemical immersion tanks, high-pressure washers, and N2/CDA drying equipment, you will execute multi-stage cleaning procedures to meet strict quality standards. Working within a team of technicians and reporting to a supervisor, you will maintain production records and ensure compliance with safety protocols. What You'll Do16
- 1Operate multi-stage chemical cleaning systems, rinse stations, and processing baths to process customer parts.
- 2Prepare parts using baskets, hooks, hoists, and other fixtures to ensure safe handling throughout production.
- 3Monitor chemical immersion tanks and adjust process-specific detergents and chemicals as needed.
- 4Perform high-pressure washing to remove contaminants from precision machined components.
- 5Use overhead hoists and material handling equipment to safely move heavy parts and fixtures.
- 6Hand-process delicate, high-precision components with care to prevent scratches or damage.
- 7Dry components using high-pressure nitrogen (N2) and compressed dry air (CDA) equipment in a particle-controlled environment.
- 8Follow standard operating procedures for cleaning, rinsing, passivation, and related production processes.
- 9Wear required PPE and handle chemical cleaning agents safely.
- 10Perform bead blasting to clean, deburr, and create uniform surface finishes on metal components.
- 11Inspect parts before and after processing to verify quality and prevent contamination, damage, or part loss.
- 12Separate materials prior to processing to prevent cross-contamination and chemical reactions.
- 13Identify contaminants such as oils and cutting fluids before processing to maintain chemical bath integrity.
- 14Perform water-break-free testing to verify proper cleaning results.
- 15Maintain accurate production records and process documentation.
- 16Communicate non-conformance issues by documenting and emailing detailed updates to supervisors.
Requirements15
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Experience in chemical handling, precision cleaning, or a manufacturing/production environment.
- 3Comfortable using computers, typing accurately, and navigating standard business applications.
- 4Ability to write clear, professional emails and communicate effectively with team members.
- 5Strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating industrial equipment such as pressure washers, hoists, or pallet jacks.
- 6Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
- 7Understanding of basic safety practices, chemical hygiene, and proper PPE usage.
- 8Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- 9Experience in a semiconductor or medical cleaning environment (preferred).
- 10Experience using manufacturing execution systems (MES) or other production tracking software (preferred).
- 11Experience with industrial degreasers, specialty detergents, or processing delicate components (preferred).
- 12Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- 13Must be comfortable standing and walking for the majority of an 8-hour shift.
- 14Must be able to safely work with chemical cleaning agents and high-pressure equipment.
- 15Must be able to perform repetitive tasks while handling precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
