Product Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing & Investment Casting
Overview
You will own complex aerospace components from concept to production, ensuring dimensional and metallurgical integrity across engineering, tooling, and machining teams. Collaborate with foundry, tool shop, and quality to drive new product development. Support sales and customer service with technical expertise on casting specifications and manufacturing methods. This role offers direct influence on products that fly, with a collaborative environment and growth through additional certifications.
What You'll Do6
- 1Review and approve pattern designs to guarantee dimensional control meets definition requirements and efficient manufacture.
- 2Direct gating methodology, heat treatment parameters, and sand mold attributes to achieve metallurgical property goals.
- 3Coordinate technical input from foundry, tool shop, and machining into new product developments.
- 4Support sales, customer service, and quality in technical discussions on casting design specifications and manufacturing methods.
- 5Provide technical support to production supervisors for casting manufacture and troubleshoot issues.
- 6Investigate technical problems, implement corrective actions, verify effectiveness, and document changes.
Requirements7
- 14+ years in product or process engineering roles.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3Collaborate effectively to achieve team and management goals.
- 4Communicate clearly with coworkers, supervisors, and management.
- 5Pursue and acquire additional certifications and credentials as required.
- 6Investment casting experience in Aerospace or IGT.
- 7CAD experience, SolidWorks preferred.
