Overview
Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives in Detroit supporting Troy based operations. Own development of technical documentation and process improvements. Differentiate through deep aerospace expertise and hands-on shop floor leadership.
What You'll Do11
- 1Own creation of Process FMEA for manufacturing processes
- 2Design new tooling or retro-engineer legacy parts
- 3Create shop-aid drawings and update work instructions
- 4Update routing and work orders for optimized processes
- 5Calculate and optimize TAKT time and cycle time
- 6Perform Value Stream Mapping and identify bottlenecks
- 7Improve cell layouts and shop-floor flow
- 8Create or update Acceptance Test Procedures
- 9Define packaging specifications for buy items
- 10Support engineering signature release loops
- 11Collaborate with operators quality teams and client focal points
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 27-10 years manufacturing production engineering experience
- 3Experience in aerospace integrated systems including mechanical electrical software integration
- 4Familiarity with composite materials and bonding processes
- 5Exposure to 3D scanning reverse engineering workflows
- 6Knowledge of Acceptance Test Procedures and first article inspection
- 7Certification such as Green Belt Lean Six Sigma or equivalent
- 8Proficiency with AS9100 aerospace quality systems
- 9Experience with UAV unmanned systems programs
- 10Understanding of PFMEA templates and PFMEA authoring
- 11Skill in lean tools like VSM TAKT cycle-time analysis cell layout optimization
