What You'll Do7
- 1Build a Montessori-based curriculum and activities for preschoolers that promote hands-on exploration and autonomy
- 2Create and maintain a prepared, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- 3Observe and document individual student progress and milestones to tailor instruction
- 4Guide children in social emotional development, conflict resolution, and independence
- 5Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about growth and classroom activities
- 6Collaborate with fellow teachers to sustain a cohesive, positive school culture
- 7Ensure health, safety, and well being of all students throughout the school day
Requirements8
- 1Experience working with preschool or early childhood aged children in a classroom setting
- 2Montessori training or certification (AMI or AMS) preferred
- 3Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- 4Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate learning strategies
- 5Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- 6Ability to pass a background check and meet California childcare licensing requirements
- 7CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- 8Must be onsite in Sacramento, California
