Preschool Teacher, Early Childhood Education
Overview
You will own daily classroom operations for a tight-knit preschool classroom at Cadence Education, shaping curiosity and confidence in 3-5 year olds on a campus of 340+ schools across 30 states. Reporting to the School Director and a Lead Teacher, you'll implement a research-based curriculum, support IEPs and behavioral plans, and build warm family relationships. What You'll Do8
- 1Greet children and families each morning, building welcoming relationships that set the tone for a respectful, inclusive classroom.
- 2Support the Lead Teacher in delivering the Cadence Signature Programs, adapting activities to each child's developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs.
- 3Follow IEPs and behavioral support plans, adjusting your approach to help each child thrive.
- 4Document and report accidents and incidents per the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual, maintaining a spotless safety record.
- 5Manage and escalate child behaviors using Cadence policies, keeping the classroom safe and focused.
- 6Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, even outside scheduled hours.
- 7Use Cadence-approved tools and systems for all family and team communication.
- 8Uphold state licensing standards, including Name-to-Face accountability, food allergy protocols, bottle-feeding, and Safe Sleep practices.
Requirements8
- 1Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or meet state licensing requirements.
- 2Previous experience in early childhood or group care setting preferred.
- 3Meet all state licensing qualifications for a Teacher in a licensed childcare center, including background clearances and health screenings.
- 4CDA credential preferred, not required.
- 5Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
- 6Flexibility with schedules that may vary; shifts may not be 8 hours or fixed start times.
- 7Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
- 8Passion for working with young children and creating a positive learning environment.
