Toddler Teachers at Cadence Education own a safe, inclusive classroom for up to 8 toddlers. They collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement a research-based curriculum and targeted supports for children with IEPs. Cadence provides access to CPR training and paid CDA certification. What You'll Do8
- 1Greet children and families daily, building welcoming relationships that support each child's sense of belonging.
- 2Support the Lead Teacher in delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
- 3Implement IEPs and behavioral support plans, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
- 4Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual, including Name-to-Face accountability and Safe Sleep practices.
- 5Document and report accidents and incidents according to policy, maintaining a safe environment.
- 6Manage and escalate child behaviors in alignment with Cadence policies and classroom expectations.
- 7Communicate with families and coworkers using Cadence-approved tools and systems.
- 8Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, including occasional evening sessions.
Requirements7
- 1Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or state licensing requirements.
- 2Previous experience in an early childhood or group care setting is preferred.
- 3Meet all state licensing qualifications for a Teacher in a licensed childcare center.
- 4Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings.
- 5CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.
- 6Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
- 7Flexibility in scheduling: shifts may vary in length and timing based on enrollment or staffing needs.
