What You'll Do8

  • 1Greet children and families daily, building professional, welcoming relationships.
  • 2Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
  • 3Recognize and respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral support plans.
  • 4Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence approved tools and systems.
  • 5Follow the Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual, documenting and reporting accidents and incidents per policy.
  • 6Assist in managing, documenting, and escalating child behaviors in alignment with Cadence policies.
  • 7Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
  • 8Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside scheduled hours.

Requirements10

  • 1Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred, or meet state licensing requirements.
  • 2Meet minimum experience and education requirements for the state of employment.
  • 3Previous experience in an early childhood or group care setting preferred.
  • 4Meet all state licensing qualifications for a Teacher in a licensed childcare center.
  • 5Ability to obtain and maintain required background clearances and health screenings.
  • 6CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.
  • 7Ability to follow safety procedures including Name-to-Face accountability, food allergy processes, bottle-feeding procedures, and Safe Sleep practices.
  • 8Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
  • 9Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
  • 10Flexibility in scheduling; hours may vary based on enrollment and operational needs.
