What You'll Do9

  • 1Plan and deliver daily activities that support spiritual, social, emotional, and academic growth, integrating Bible stories, prayer, and Christian values in age-appropriate ways.
  • 2Supervise children by sight and sound at all times, maintaining required ratios and completing daily health checks.
  • 3Maintain a safe, clean, and age-appropriate learning environment, following sanitation and Safe Sleep practices.
  • 4Use varied instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, adapting to each child's pace and style.
  • 5Track attendance, developmental milestones, and classroom routines consistently, documenting progress for families and leadership.
  • 6Support CACFP compliance by following meal service procedures and maintaining state licensing and NAC standards.
  • 7Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication, sharing developmental milestones and spiritual growth updates, and responding promptly to concerns.
  • 8Collaborate with co-teachers and floaters to ensure smooth classroom operations, participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and academy events.
  • 9Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and restocking supplies as needed, demonstrating flexibility to serve across different age groups.

Requirements9

  • 118+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
  • 2Meets all state minimum standards for an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher.
  • 3Previous experience in a licensed child care facility preferred but not required.
  • 4Alignment with Lionheart's mission and Christian values.
  • 5Positive peer and family relationships, with a willingness to grow and receive coaching.
  • 6Pass a criminal background check.
  • 7Demonstrate spiritual alignment by living out Christ-centered values in daily interactions.
  • 8Show teamwork and collaboration with staff and leadership, and build intentional relationships with children and families.
  • 9Exhibit effective communication skills, supporting positive family interactions and team collaboration.
