Overview
Join Crane Aerospace & Electronics for a Precision Grinder Second Shift role at our Burbank facility. This full‑time position offers a one‑time $3,000 sign‑on bonus and flexible overtime options. The team works Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, supporting high‑volume production of aerospace components.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform basic OD and surface grinding using manual or basic CNC cylindrical grinders
- 2Verify results with micrometers and other gages to meet thickness and diameter tolerances
- 3Review blueprints and work instructions to confirm part specifications
- 4Maintain tooling condition and report out‑of‑spec items for expert review
- 5Operate equipment, pause jobs as needed, and address safety concerns
- 6Document feedback from senior associates to improve safety and efficiency
- 7Complete all inspection and in‑process verification paperwork for traceability
- 8Assist with training of newer staff and apply GD&T knowledge where required
- 9Support level one associates in meeting quality standards
Requirements5
- 1Minimum two years of precision grinding experience
- 2Strong grasp of GD&T and basic gaging practices
- 3High school diploma or equivalent
- 4Ability to lift up to 40 lb and operate manual or CNC grinding equipment
- 5Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime and occasional weekends
Salary Insight
$60 - $112k per year
