Overview
Design and execute precision grinding operations for flight-critical aerospace components. Operate CNC and manual grinding equipment to produce O/D I/D boring and facing parts. What You'll Do9
- 1Set up and operate CNC and manual grinding equipment for O/D I/D boring and facing operations
- 2Interpret blueprints and process sheets to configure machine parameters
- 3Enter production data into ERP systems while maintaining accurate documentation
- 4Run multiple grinding machines including CNC manual ID and OD equipment
- 5Verify part conformance using gauges and calibrate preset measurement tools
- 6Inspect own work and assist in verifying output from colleagues
- 7Calculate machining times and adjust speeds and feeds for optimal results
- 8Perform routine maintenance and setup tasks for grinding machinery
- 9Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 6 months hands-on experience with precision grinding equipment
- 2High school diploma or equivalent academic qualification
- 3Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- 4Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
- 5Physical capability to lift 50 pounds and maintain standing posture throughout shift
- 6Valid driver's license for commute to Chicago location
- 7Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- 8Willingness to work rotating shifts including nighttime operations
- 9Experience with export control regulations relevant to aerospace manufacturing
- 10Strong teamwork skills and ability to function independently in a high-pressure environment
