What You'll Do9
- 1Identify systemic or procedural issues and propose solutions for staffing and retention
- 2Analyze HR processes and collaborate with Worksite Wellness to improve benefits
- 3Support Director of Policy and Implementation by documenting agency needs and advocating best practices
- 4Promote pay equity and racial/gender/disability justice initiatives agency-wide
- 5Develop and execute engagement activities like Town Halls and the Race to Justice Divisional Action Team
- 6Manage projects and coordinate with HR Central for administrative support
- 7Drive strategic investments that modernize DOHMH’s data infrastructure and foundational capabilities
- 8Ensure compliance with citywide standards while supporting cross-departmental collaboration
- 9Contribute to workforce development and emergency response readiness planning
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in policy government administration or related field
- 2Familiarity with Human Resources applications and policies
- 3Proven experience in project management
- 4Strong analytical abilities and experience interpreting complex data
- 5Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- 6Ability to thrive in diverse teams and dynamic environments
- 7Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 8Multicultural teamwork experience
- 9Previous experience in NYC government preferred
- 10Commitment to professional growth and skill development
- 11Residence in tri-state area by start date
