What You'll Do9

  • 1Assess patient conditions and medical records to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  • 2Review physician referrals and patient history to determine the required physical therapy treatment.
  • 3Provide direct patient care using established protocols and care guidelines.
  • 4Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
  • 5Supervise care provided by assistants and rehab technicians.
  • 6Write comprehensive plans of care with measurable goals derived from evaluation findings.
  • 7Implement treatment programs and deliver essential physical therapy interventions.
  • 8Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies.
  • 9Complete timely documentation including daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.

Requirements8

  • 1Graduate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • 2Current Missouri state license and CPR certification.
  • 3Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (new grads welcome).
  • 41+ year of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred, but not required.
  • 5Ability to work autonomously and make clinical decisions independently.
  • 6Basic PC skills including EMR systems and MS Office.
  • 7Strong interpersonal skills for patient and team collaboration.
  • 8Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
