Overview
Own phlebotomy operations at scale in a fully onsite contract role in Manor, TX with Actalent. You will collect and process specimens, label, centrifuge, and transport according to protocol while maintaining specimen integrity. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain accurate specimen labeling and tracking across tests and orders
- 2Design and execute specimen preparation including centrifugation and aliquoting to ensure test readiness
- 3Ship specimens for transport following required packaging and temperature controls
- 4Own data entry and maintenance of patient and specimen information in LIMS or equivalent systems
- 5Scale operations by following protocol for storage, temperature control, and chain of custody
- 6Collaborate with lab staff to ensure specimen integrity from collection to transport
- 7Debug issues with labeling, labeling audit trails, and transport discrepancies
- 8Drive toward timely processing and reporting within required TATs for pediatric and geriatric patients
- 9Assist with equipment maintenance and decontamination procedures
- 10Ensure compliance with certification and hospital guidelines for phlebotomy procedures
Requirements8
- 16+ months of experience as a Phlebotomist in a lab or hospital setting
- 2Phlebotomy Certification preferred
- 3Pediatric and Geriatric experience mandatory
- 4Must be located near Austin Texas and available for onsite work
- 5Contract role based out of Manor, TX
- 6Ability to collect, label, centrifuge, and transport specimens per protocol
- 7Experience with specimen preservation and temperature-controlled storage
- 8Strong attention to detail for patient information and specimen labeling
