What You'll Do9

  • 1Obtain blood and non-blood specimens such as urine sputum and throat swabs for laboratory testing
  • 2Use straight needles and draw over 50 times per day
  • 3Draw blood on patients ranging from infants to geriatrics

  • 5Label specimens and manage all processing steps according to protocol

Requirements11

  • 1Minimum 2 years of experience outside of school required
  • 25+ years experience with specimen collection techniques
  • 3Proficiency in using automated collection devices

  • 6Valid phlebotomy certification preferred
