What You'll Do7
- 1Obtain blood specimens using straight needles, drawing 50+ times per day from patients ranging from infants to geriatrics.

- 3Label all specimens accurately and handle them properly to maintain chain of custody.
- 4Process specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring timely and correct preparation.
- 5Navigate a hectic environment, prioritizing patient safety and specimen integrity.

- 7Coordinate with lab staff to confirm test orders and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of phlebotomy experience outside of school, required.
- 2Proficiency with straight needles and venipuncture techniques.
- 3Experience drawing 50+ patients per day in a high-volume setting.
- 4Skill in collecting non-blood specimens: urine, sputum, throat swabs.
