What You'll Do10

  • 1Perform accurate venipuncture and blood specimen collections for patients of all ages.
  • 2Draw blood from pediatric and geriatric patients with care and precision.
  • 3Explain collection procedures clearly and courteously to ease patient concerns.
  • 4Prepare and process specimens per laboratory procedures, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
  • 5Collect clinical and forensic specimens as required, maintaining chain of custody.
  • 6Verify patient information and specimen accuracy to prevent errors.
  • 7Maintain clean, safe, and professional work areas, following safety and confidentiality protocols.
  • 8Deliver exceptional customer service, promoting a positive patient experience.
  • 9Document patient records and required paperwork accurately.

Requirements8

  • 1High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 26+ months of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting.
  • 3Experience with pediatric collections, geriatric collections, and capillary collections.
  • 4Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and specimen handling.
  • 5Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality procedures.
  • 6Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
  • 7Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, 40 hours per week.
