Perform PET/CT scans at 18 outpatient imaging centers in Greater Austin, serving 24 hospitals and a large patient population. Join a team of hundreds of board-certified radiologists using advanced AI capabilities and state-of-the-art technology. Work 4x10s with Wednesdays off, no on-call or overnights, in a Radiology Partners practice with a strong local legacy since 1954. This role offers crosstraining in modalities and a supportive, team-first culture.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Perform PET/CT exams, positioning patients and selecting scan parameters for optimal image quality.
  • 2Administer oral and IV contrast, utilizing the Creatinine meter to assess renal function and explaining benefits and risks.
  • 3Insert IVs following OSHA guidelines, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
  • 4Review images for quality and abnormalities, verifying all studies transmit correctly to PACS.
  • 5Conduct daily QC checks on CT scanners and perform weekly Emergency Crash Cart QC per protocol.
  • 6Interview patients for medical history and document relevant information in the patient record.
  • 7Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate interpretation and optimal patient care.
  • 8Adhere to radiation protection and recordkeeping guidelines, maintaining compliance with OSHA and credentialing bodies.

Requirements8

  • 11+ year experience performing PET/CT exams in a clinical setting.
  • 2Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
  • 3Active ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required.
  • 4Current CPR and MRT certifications required.
  • 5NMTCB (PET) required within 12 months of hire.
  • 6ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) required within 6 months after obtaining PET registry.
  • 7Preferred: 3-5 years experience in PET/CT imaging.
  • 8Proficiency in PACS and imaging software.
