Overview

You will own PET/CT imaging for a busy hospital and clinic department in Columbus, Ohio, handling about 33 scans daily across oncology, cardiac, brain, and neuroendocrine cases. You will operate 2 Siemens PET/CT scanners and manage IV starts as part of daily patient care. The team supports a steady weekday schedule with federal holidays off, plus one evening and one Saturday shift monthly. This contract offers first-time travelers a chance to grow in a teaching hospital environment.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Perform PET/CT scans including whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine studies in the first 90 days.
  • 2Start and maintain IVs for contrast and radiopharmaceutical administration on each patient.
  • 3Operate Siemens PET/CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images for oncology and cardiac cases.
  • 4Conduct myocardial imaging with adenosine and Persantine infusions and pharmacological stress testing.
  • 5Capture brain scans and cerebral blood flow images using established protocols.
  • 6Execute whole body and limited tumor localization studies per physician orders.
  • 7Collaborate with technologists and nurses to manage daily caseload of about 33 studies.
  • 8Adapt to varying start times (6:00 AM–9:30 AM) and optional 10-hour shifts during holiday weeks.
  • 9Complete Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing promptly after contract signing.

Requirements10

  • 11+ years of experience in PET/CT and General Nuclear Medicine.
  • 2ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification required.
  • 3BLS certification required.
  • 4Ohio state license required (if applicable).
  • 5Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • 6Proficiency with IV starts and PACS.
  • 7Skills in myocardial imaging, adenosine and Persantine infusion, pharmacological stress testing, and exercise/rest studies.
  • 8Brain scan and cerebral blood flow imaging experience.
  • 9Whole body and limited tumor localization experience.
  • 10Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
