Overview

As the People Operations Coordinator at UMOM New Day Centers, you will own the daily HR workflows that keep our team of over 15,000 served individuals and 300+ employees running smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for employee inquiries, manage the shared inbox, and coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes. Working alongside the People Operations Generalist and Operations Manager, you will handle administrative tasks, maintain the HRIS system, and support compliance efforts. What You'll Do10

  • 1Serve as first point of contact for employee and external HR queries, greeting employees, answering phones, and providing general support.
  • 2Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation, including paperwork, scheduling, and system setup requests.
  • 3Manage the shared People Operations inbox and track incoming requests through internal ticketing systems.
  • 4Assist with recruiting lifecycle tasks, including scheduling interviews and managing candidate communications.
  • 5Maintain and update the HRIS system, processing new hires, terminations, and status changes timely.
  • 6Coordinate employee offboarding tasks, including exit interviews and equipment return.
  • 7Order and manage employee supplies like shirts, business cards, and name badges.
  • 8Support administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, and creating PDFs for the People Operations team.
  • 9Assist with special events like Town Hall meetings and employee recognition programs.
  • 10Coordinate required training sessions across programs, sourcing materials and scheduling sessions.

Requirements10

  • 12+ years of experience in an administrative or HR support role, with at least 1 year in a directly relevant position.
  • 2Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred at time of hire.
  • 4Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • 5Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (iSolved Hire a plus) and HCM systems.
  • 6Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one.
  • 7CPRFA certification or ability to obtain one.
  • 8Ability to clear Central Registry Screening from Department of Child Safety & Adult Protective Services.
  • 9Valid AZ Driver's License and driving record within UMOM's policy 50/100 level of car insurance coverage.
  • 10Ability to lift at least twenty pounds and ascend/descend one flight of stairs regularly.
